Video can transform how people learn about the environment and their role in reducing their impact on it. Knowledge is power and the future of biodiversity depends on a better understanding of the science of the natural world and communicating that to the public and policy-makers. We’ve been involved in making award-winning environmental films for 25 years for broadcast TV (including David Attenborough series), not-for-profits and academia.

JOURNAL ABSTRACT

Ecography journal: special edition about Ecological Restoration

An important part of the move to a sustainable future for life on Earth is ecological restoration. Restoration means the return of environments and habitats to best support as much biodiversity as possible. There are many challenges to achieving restoration and this film, which accompanies Ecography Journal’s special addition, addresses them.

PUBLIC INFORMATION

The Friends of Richmond Park commissioned this film to help the public understand how they can ‘Tread Lightly’ in Richmond park, London. Their patron, Sir David Attenborough presented the film which features the park’s wonderful wildlife as well as tips about how to reduce visitors’ impact on the park’s natural space.

Congratulations on the success of the film. I know everyone concerned is extremely pleased with the way it has been received. And so they should be. It does its job really perfectly.
— Sir David Attenborough
We worked with George to create seven videos about transformations to sustainability for a major research funding programme. This involved interviewing scientists across the world and turning their very diverse reported research findings into compelling narratives that would be accessible to a wider audience. George quickly grasped the most important elements of the research and built a good rapport with the scientists he interviewed. He helped source beautiful imagery that brought the research stories to life, even when the interviews had to be done remotely. We had to factor in a lot of different perspectives on what the films should (and shouldn’t) include, and George gave us patient and thoughtful guidance on how to balance different ideas and ultimately come up with the best video for our intended audience. We’ve had great feedback on the films and wish we could make more!’
